Unique Antique
This teddy bear means a lot to me, I had her, Naomi since I can remember. I won't put the story on here, but I've been wanting to edit the photos I took during the summer for awhile. I finally got to it. You can say she's a unique antique to me.

LU VS. KENNSAW
Dark Room Days 1 & 2
Last week, I've been meaning to write about the Dark room days, 1 & 2. The first day we had to develop our roll of film in the dark room, we mostly spent all day in there. It went smoothly, it takes an hour to develop each film. Two hours total to develop two films. We had to develop "Two's a Company, Three's a Crowd," and also mount the final print onto a mat board. Also, tomorrow I'm heading to the dark room to develop "Photojournalism" assignment.

Hockey Game, LU vs. Kennsaw
Tonight, I just went to the men's hockey game at Liberty. LU vs. Kennsaw (I think that's the team name). The score was 14-0, we creamed them. The photos will be up tomorrow. Keep checking!

Why I love art?
This blog is dedicated to why I love art! It's all about creating, not creative. Creating, is doing/action, creative is describing. I realize after awhile of working on my texture project that took up four hours of my day, the time went fairly fast, and I was not really stressed. I admit, I did save the project to the last minute. I knit, and this semester, I planned to knit a lot, but it seems like I always have a sketch pad instead of a pair of knitting needles in my hands. It came to the point of where I'm getting my first personal sketchpad instead of using my
class's sketchpad. I just got back from Micheal's, I finally broke down and got more Bristol paper for class. I mainly use Bristol paper for big projects, and when it's required from class. Art is a great way of doing creativity, and to express God's love and creation.
I just thought I'd share some of my adoration for God's art and creation!

Typography & Gray Value Scale
This weekend I will be finishing up painting the typography & gray scale. I have to finish painting the background of the 11x14 gray. With typography, I am using Chinese symbols for 'food' and a bowl of noodles in between the symbols. We also have to demonstrate the gray value scale (black to very light gray). I am hoping to get it done later tonight or tomorrow.
More updates coming soon!

It's Raining Blog!
Well this morning I really wanted to wear a skirt, turns out it was raining! However, that gave me an inspiration to write about God's Reign and rain! I love them both! So I am also including, "He Reigns" by Newsboys and "Umbrella" by Taylor Swift (yes I love country!) A long also with photos from umbrellas in the hallway! Fun fact, Lynchburg is known as "Drenchburg" when it down pours from heaven's skies!

Romance Texture Project Part 2.
Well this is the post dedicated to the project "Romance" Texture project in my Graphic Design class. Currently, due to blogger's maintenance, sadly, I will not be able to upload the photos until they get things figured out. Until then, I will keep saving the drafts of this blog entry. I decided to do the texture theme based upon dating, love, marriage to honor God. As the layout goes, the tree branches are shaped like a heart, with leaves and rocks surrounding the branches to give more effect of a heart. The leaves and branches represent Adam and Eve's garden, as well as the flowers. The Hershey chocolate wrappers represents gifts, and there is also a pink heart with the verse to go along the theme. (The verses are down below). At the top of of the foam board, white (symbolizes purity), letters that spell 'Romance' are painted.
THE VERSES:
1.) "Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud." (1 Corinthians 13: 4" [I had wrote this with sharpie for it to stand out on the board, and to add more color to the project. It is on the pink heart, along with drawn vines.]
2.) "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created him; male and female." (Genesis 1:27) [It was a tie between these two verses, relating to the theme. However, to me, 1 Cor. 13:4 had the project best.]
I will go ahead and post this blog to give you more anticipation for a part 3 with the photos! Also, you will get more of my projects on here as the semester goes on. Enjoy!

Romance Texture Project
So I am posting real quick before I scoot to class. Yesterday I worked on the best project that actually turned out pretty good. (I will probably go into more details about it later, this is just a summary). However, our project for graphic design is about texture collage (but mainly showing texture...) I decided to do the theme on 'love', dating and marriage to honor God. I manage to get the project done in four hours including laying it all out, sketching, and then using the glue gun. To me, it was a miracle to have the acrylic paint (fell in love with them yesterday), and glue gun dry so fast! I did not expect that. It ways fun and worth working on the project yesterday, time flew by and before I knew it was time for bed! Anyways, after my English class is over, I'll post on what the symbols represents.
Here's a little sneak peak preview of what the project was coming along!

Dark Room Days Series
I've realized half of my time is spent in the dark room at Liberty this semester working on projects! We either develop film by hand, mount, photo grams (just a photo with objects). An idea occurred to me to blog about what we participate in the darkroom! Sometimes this week I'm going to have to go to the darkroom to develop two rolls of film! (I just have to shoot 'Crazy Roommates' and finish 'Threes a crowd' photo shoot for class!
Keep checking back!
Keep checking back!
