Blogging Less | A week to Disney!

So I realize I haven't been blogging a lot, been busy with family this week! Yesterday we went sailing for two hours which was fun and relaxing. Yes, I did bring knitting. Yes, I really wanted to knit on the boat. However, I lost a DPN I needed to knit with in the car on the way to the docks : (. I could've gotten two hours worth of knitting. Sadly, I probably won't be blogging a lot this week either, or the week after-I'll be in Disney! Today marks the one week till Disney!!! I'm hesitating to pack today or wait till later this week. I might just pack today and get it over with. So...

The KNITTING I hope to FINISH this week:
1.) Father Day socks [I got to the heel flap finally on the first sock today, I know it's late.. but I'm sure I can get them done this week hopefully.]
2.) The baby's yellow summertime shirt. I only have two more steps to do, I could finish it today or tomorrow. [Might finish it after I do the packing.]

That's basically it for the knitting this week.. shocker.. I'm sure there's more.

The KNITTING I hope to PACK:
1.) Socks! (Nannie's Rainy Day socks, and perhaps the second sock of Father's Day socks.)
2.) My red yarn.. I'm not sure how much yarn I'm going to bring with me. That's one of them. I'm dying to knit something out of red.
3.) My Carrot Top!! I'm hoping to fix it later this week and to be able to bring that project with me.
4.) Harry Potter OWl hats.

I'm taking a mini tote bag or something so I'll probably pack my knitting stuff in there.
Happy Summer!

Baby's Summertime Shirt Part Two

I wouldn't say I'm almost done with the front-however I'm at the eight inches mark and got a whole another inch (9 inches mainly) before I come across the sleeves and collar. I should have the sweater done hopefully maybe tonight or tomorrow... or by any means I'm guessing this week. It will get finished! Aww... aren't baby sweaters just easy to knit than adult size like my own sweater I'm knitting? More updates on my Carrot Top sweater will come soon once I start to work on it again it's been in hibernation.

Happy Knitting! Sorry it was a quick update!

Slytherin's Summer

Okay summer is almost here for Hogwarts students! So throwing in some k2tog and simple yo's to create a summer look for the next up: Summer series! Each house now will get a summer hat look. The colors stay the same, but the hat will have a little bit of "crochet" but a knitting version! Sorry no photos of the hat's process in this blog post, but more to come later. I'm going on a road trip tomorrow back to VA. (Excited!) So I will mostly be spending the time knitting it in the car tomorrow. (Woot!)

Happy Knitting!

North Carolina Shawl EASY.

So yesterday, I arrived in North Carolina safely but with a few turbulence on my first flight to Atlanta, but the second flight was smooth to NC! I hardly actually didn't knit at all until I got to my boyfriend's house later in the day. I almost didn't pack any yarn or knitting, but I'm glad I did! I started my shawl yesterday, and since I'm mostly knitting it in NC-I'm calling it my North Carolina Shawl. I was super tired last night so I waited until this morning to open my laptop to blog and open a new entry on Raverly for the NC Shawl. I love this pattern it's so easy! It's so cool how it's easy to increase each row as I go along knitting it. It should be fine to knit on my next two flights on the way home. Since I had to pack less for this trip, I'm keeping my notes and the patterns on index cards method. Okay, once I keep saying it's 'easy' I'm probably bound to mess it up somehow.. but anyways. The method of keeping my notes and the pattern on the index card is easy! (I can't think of a better word to describe this..)

Anywho, may knit on it for awhile now!

Sharing a little Sunshine

Yes, that is my skirt, haha! I was so happy to finally able to wear skirts.. and I got a little dressed up to be picking up my boyfriend on Friday.

Besides knitting, I love doing photography. To me-photography and knitting are like art (well it is art). We've had two nice sunny days in a row that brought us playing outside in our flip flops, tossing a football around (my family and boyfriend), blowing bubbles-things that we would normally do on a beach day. However just these past two days we also enjoyed having the windows open and feel that fresh breath of air. I just decided to share a little sunshine smiles with you : ). It's rare at the beginning of spring like this to have great weather!! Last summer we went to the beach and soaked up the sun while we were knitting. Yes, I said knitting on the beach! Talk about relaxing!! I'm excited it's finally getting that time of seasons.

Here's the bit of sunshine!

Catching up with blogging..

Yes, I hadn't blogged a lot this week, so I am catching up with blogging this morning. As I mentioned in my last post-I finished a lot of projects I've been working on for months. So now basically I'm somewhat project free (a knitter's dream). Yes I've finished the Fairytale blanket, and photos will be posted soon-it depends if I add extra sides and something else to it. For right now I'm just leaving it alone and saying it's completed. So for this week...

What's on my needles:
1.) Summer Lace Capelet
I'm still working on this, and started it a few days ago. It's coming really well, and I've modified the pattern a bit. However, sad to say-that I ran out of yarn from China Town. But luckily we're going on a Yarn Crawl this upcoming Saturday (March 11th). I'm excited!!

2.) Summer Tank Top??
I'm not sure but I'm thinking about starting a summer tank top. I hadn't really started it quite yet.. but only one row, and may have to start over-or I might just wait until this Saturday at the Yarn Crawl to get more yarn and inspiration.

3.) Summer Scarf
This project is going well, and is mid-way to almost done. : ).

Ah yes I'm finally working on summer projects... or well spring projects!!
