New Year, New blog Look!

Happy New Year!!!!
2011!
Happy New Year everyone! It's actually 12:42am, and I'm very tired! It's been a great Christmas break so far! It started out with visiting my boyfriend and his family in North Carolina, then my family in Georgia, Virginia for the night, and now finally home in New Hampshire! I'm very tired since we traveled two days straight in the car from Georgia to New Hampshire.
Happy New Years,

Hobby Lobby Part Two & 2011 Resolutions

What a trip! We got back last night, well not late-late. I thought it was going to be a quick trip, however it turned into a two hour trip to Hobby Lobby! My Mom and I do this each time we come to Georgia to visit family (or we try to). I thought there was going to be a lot more yarn, than just two aisles- but I guess that's a lot! I did get many yarns, and planned some projects for the upcoming year, 2011!! One of the projects I've started yesterday, but it's a gift for someone (so no details on the blog for this one..) The list of projects are down below.

2011 Knitting Projects Planned:
These are finishing in no rush. You can't rush knitting and you can't rush art. : ).
1.) My Dad's scarf. I have 20 inches done in the black, and need 36inches in the area I'm working on. (I only knit scarfs for family and close friends)
2.) My brother's Super Mario blanket for college. I've got several designs done like: Lugi, Toad, Bowser, and Yoshi. There's more to come. The Bowser's Presentation Photo will be up on Facebook (and on here) this weekend..
3.) Baby Girl Blanket: I miss blankets, and I love long term projects such as these. I probably start this once my main projects above are finished. This will be a long while before I even start the project. So this is a defiantly 2011 goal.

Hobby Lobby! Part One

I was going to write about the top three craft stores I love to shop at, however I'm mainly excited to go to Hobby Lobby today after lunch! I would've posted the logo here but I can't seem to find a way to use their link...

But here's their official website: www.hobbylobby.com
We don't have a Hobby Lobby in Virginia (where I go to school) or in New Hampshire (where I live). I'm currently in Georgia visiting family, and there's a Hobby Lobby near where we are. To me it's the hugest craft store. We like to take annual shopping trips there. : ). I'm looking forward to going today!! Part Two blog post will be coming a long once I get back from our annual shopping trip!!

I know there's not a lot done quite yet, but I will be working on the headbands tonight.

Happy Knitting day!

This really has been a full knitting day, better than I actually expected! It started off with knitting "Bowswer" from Super Mario (or something like that), for my brother's blanket. Then I proceeded to begin yellow baby booties (got one yellow baby bootie done today!) I also completed a baby hat, and started a baby headband.

Some knitting items heading your way:
Baby Shower Gift Set
This is a special! It'll include...
1.) A Baby Boy hat,
2.) A baby girl hat,
3.) A baby headband,
4.) Baby booties.

These colors have blue and pink of course!

Yellow Baby booties
-The title says all, yellow baby booties, however it may come with either purple pom poms or blue pom poms. I'm in the early stage of creating the booties, so I'm not exactly sure quite yet of how the booties will turn out.

Have yourself a very Merry Christmas!

Yesterday was Liberty University's annual Christmas Convo. (You can Youtube it, at least I think). I went with my best friends & roomies. Note, Megan isn't really our roomie, but our additional fourth roomie (inside joke...) but here is my four roomies at Christmas Convo! Oh by the way, Christmas Convo is a convo that students don't want to miss. It's a chance for Liberty to show their sense of humor in comedy over what took place in the convos we had in the semester.

1.) Sierra, me, Tanya & Megan (The Four Roomies)
2.) Megan & Me
3.) The Three Roomies, Me, Tanya, and Sierra.

Merry Christmas!

Last day of Classes

Okay so this hat is defiantly for Christmas! It is on ANNA ELIAZBETH DESIGNS now!!! It is the first Christmas hat of my shop.
So today officially marks the last day of classes! It has been a wonderful and amazing, yet difficult and hard (when it comes to academics) semester! I can't believe it already almost over. Only four exams is keeping me from going home on Tuesday, and well of course White Glove! There's so many things I can say why my semester was amazing, but that would take up the whole page!

Seasons greetings and Merry Christmas!

Dark Room Day Monday

So yesterday was dark room day, and tomorrow is dark room day Wednesday! Yesterday I worked on our assignment that is due this Thursday, "Available Light." My subject was piano keys, and then tomorrow in the dark room I will be working on the final project. Yes, I did a graphic for "Dark Room Days." However, as this semester and my photography class ending, my Dark Room Days post will soon be deleted, well the section will be.

They will be up on Etsy this week, got to choose which day to put them up there. Here's to be expecting: Two baby booties (they're so fun, quick and easy!), a "Victoria" headband, and the FIRST Christmas hat of the season!

Heading back to Liberty..

Happy Holidays!

~Happy Holidays~

It's that time of year again! Yes the font colors are now green and red, preparing for this upcoming Holiday Season 2010! I'm so very excited for new the holiday spirit! Apparently Blogger is being "Scrooge" because it's not allowing me change my layout to the Christmas season. However, font colors are not stopping me from sharing Christmas joy! I've created this graphic for my knitting business, "Anna Elizabeth Designs." To prepare for the holiday season, I've already knitted a pair of pink baby booties. I'm also starting another pair of baby booties as well. I have found a pattern over the summer I've fallen in love with this Thanksgiving break, it might be my signature style for awhile. Baby booties may be taking the spotlight this season, we will see, I'm still making baby hats! As far as Black Friday goes, I am sorry I have to close down the shop for awhile, but IT WILL BE BACK UP SOON! I PROMISE! Stay tune and become a facebook fan if you already haven't:

Day 8-Doughnuts!

So okay, doughnuts are very random! I actually had a dream about them last night. It was weird, but anyways. There's another little secret behind these photos, but I do love doughnuts! My favorite: just plain doughnuts with the glazing! Yummy!

Day 7-Meet Adam!

You've might have already met this little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Adam! I always love coming home and Adam always would run over and jump on me just to greet me! You'll see more blog posts of him, and more interesting facts along the way! There's an interesting fact about him, but you'll find out later-just continue on reading!

This is day 7, which means this is a week of posting of '365 days-Seasons of Love!"

Day 6-Knitting by the Fire

I love coming home and being able to knit by the fire. This is one of the very most things I was looking forward to all semester, than just coming home. Well mainly I've been looking forward to this all through the summer when I began knitting. In this pic I'm working on a baby square for Neighbors Helping Newborns. We met last night and it was great seeing the friendly faces again!

Day 5- I Scream for Sundae Icecream...

I'm falling a bit behind on the Days for "365 Days of Love." Yes, I love the dark chocolate, especially it oozing all over a chocolate sundae with vanilla ice cream! Sundaes are my favorite desert on top of a brownie!

Day 4-Home is where the Heart is

HOME SWEET HOME!

Day four-Home is where the heart is; the most common saying, as well as: "Home Sweet Home." Yes, I am actually going home today for the first time this semester for Thanksgiving Break. And yes, I've been looking forward to it all semester, not only that this week has been hard and yet long due to assignments, plus knowing today I'll be going home! Here's some photos around my home, and of New Hampshire beaches. (I will post a "Day 5 & Day 6" tomorrow).

Updates: I just got home for Thanksgiving break, as I am finishing up this post! I had not got a chance to continue to work on the post until now.

Day 3-Yellow & Blue COLORFUL.

Yellow has to be one of my favorite colors, blue comes first! Take note, I like roses, but NOT generally Love love love roses... I'll take roses on occasions, but yellow sunflowers are my favorite flowers, oh yes-- I know these photos are not sunflowers (I wish I had photos of them though..) Yellow is one of my favorite colors just because it's sunny, it's cheerful and happy. I know the post is about reasons why I love yellow, but I've got to brag about the color blue too. Why blue? Blue may seem to be depressing, but to me it's calming and peaceful. With yellow, it's loud-my personality is between yellow and blue. Blue reminds me of home because I live about fifteen minutes away from the beach, and it also reminds me of the RAIN!!! Maybe I should also attach Dory from Finding Nemo, one of my favorite characters from that movie and of course yellow and blue!! Both colors I love and both colors make me happy!

Day 3-- Yellow & Blue COLORFUL.

Day 2-Seasons of Love

Personally, this is one of the photos I love, there's many reasons behind it, but I won't say anything to be secret!

Basketball Game!

This past Saturday I went to the basketball game with two of my best friends, De and Phoebe! I love them to death! I just met De this year, but we're already tight : ). I've known Phoebe since freshman year, : ).

1.) Phoebe and me.
2.) Dee and me,
3.) Dee, me and Phoebe.

Day 1 I LOVE ART!

Okay, so I don't know how this can relate to art, but I think it could, I basically designed this (took about two hours)...on a free online program, I think called "Sumo Paint." It's pretty neat. But here's something that's actually related to art...

So the first post goes for: I LOVE ART!! My major is graphic design (I don't know what I want to do yet for it...), but I love creating things, and I'm minoring in photography.

365 Days of Love

I've seen this done on Facebook, which gave me this idea. I'm going to start posting "365 Days of Love." I will post Day 1 later on tonight, of something I love. I also go the idea from the song, "Seasons of Love." (I will post that too on the blog entry later on tonight.

Dark Room Day [11.14.10]

After church today, I went to the dark room and did the photo assignment, "Light Exposure" and did a couple of prints, that turned out pretty well. Over Thanksgiving break (which is five days away!), I will scan in some photos of what I've been doing this fall semester!

Dark Room Monday! [11.8.10]

Hello again! It's been awhile since I've last posted. I think I'm all caught up with photography now, I've been sick for the last couple of days. This week is the first week of feeling better! One of the days while I was sick, I went to the dark room, and could not smell any of the chemicals (weird, but good?) Anyways. this passed Monday (11.8.10), I went to the dark room to do a couple of prints and developed my film for God's Creation. This upcoming week's assignment is Light Exposure. I've been dying to do silhouettes!

Knitting!

I feel like it's been a long time since I last posted, but then again it may have been a couple of days. Today was my first time getting back to knitting! It seemed strange, yet it felt so good to just pick up a set of knitting needles, and watch a project form right in front of my eyes. Knitting to me is a great stress relief and I can just go on and on about it. Ever since this past summer, more specifically since May 2010, I've been knitting for charity, for this organization-Neighbors Helping Newborns. From Neighbors Helping Newborns, my online shop is born, "Anna Elizabeth Designs." I am still knitting for them for Christian Service this semester as well. I also sell my knitting on www.etsy.com. I basically knit baby hats, baby sweaters, baby anything. My general area I mostly knit is baby hats (fast, quick, easy, and fun!) The links are below of where you can search my knitting items. Yes, I also do graphic works for these!

Happy November!

It's November! Here's more photos from yesterday...
GRIDS: I love doing grids such as third to last photo! Fall and October are my favorite things to capture on digital!

Fall Mini Shoot, 10.31.10

Yes, I did get these photos done on Halloween! I needed to do something for Halloween, even when I'm sick. (There's still a lot more to come). But here's a few examples of what kind of portraits I can do. Amy, my prayer leader, captured these for me, and I just edited them.

1.) I wanted to be like Taylor Swift... haha.
2.) Frames & Text examples.
3.) Without the frames & text examples.
4.) Trees
5.) Bricks.

Unique Antique

This teddy bear means a lot to me, I had her, Naomi since I can remember. I won't put the story on here, but I've been wanting to edit the photos I took during the summer for awhile. I finally got to it. You can say she's a unique antique to me.
