Knitting Slump-not so much

Weird right? These next couple of days will be busy because we are moving. At the beginning of this week I was in a knitting slump, I think i just needed a new project! Well thanks to Alana Dakos with the pattern, "Shawl Collared Cowl" I'm working on now, defiantly helped with the knitting slump! I love this pattern very much, and I see myself knitting the pattern over and over again! I'm already at the six inch mark, and it needs to be 9 inches before I start decreasing (I think.) I just started this yesterday! What a fast knit! Anyways...

here's "What's on my Needles":
1.) Malabrigo (I've just started knitting with this yarn, that I fell in love with it!) So I'm calling the Shawl Collared Cowl "Malabrigo" on my Rav page.

2.) I've Made up my mind Tank: I've started this I think a week ago.. and knitting on it every now and then.

3.) Princess Peach Socks: My first cotton bamboo summer socks. Defiantly summer socks. I'm excited about them, and they are my travel knitting. I'm about at the gusset decrease.

4.) Longest Long Term Blanket: With much more traveling, and a long car trip down to Hilton Head-I've been somewhat working on the blanket. I'm dying to do shawls... but I want to finish this blanket first before any huge project and long term project. I started this blanket back in April.

FO's!
1.) I've finished the Florida Shirt back in Florida of course, already been some blog posts about it. However, I still need to seem it up! I find that I'm a process knitter-not a finished object knitter. I need to get in the habit of finishing.

2.) Baktus Scarf: Finished it! Yes, I need to weave in the ends.. yes I am a process knitter. Can't you tell?

FUTURE PROJECTS:
1.) I randomly typed in scarf in the pattern search of Rav. Then I found this gorgeous scarf with cables. I'm considering each winter I could make one scarf for myself, make it a tradition. I've already have the idea of which yarn to use in this one. Might start this after we move.

2.) The Evenstar shawl. This is a dream shawl.. so I might consider serious thinking with it. I've researched what yarn, the pattern, other's people project pages already today. But I want to majorly finish the blanket first. This would probably be my second major long term project. Even if I were to start this.. hopefully I'll get other projects done. Yeah, I'm hesitating..

Shawls, Baby Booties, Socks

Well I hadn't blogged in the last couple of days.. I've been knitting all day actually (and yesterday). North Carolina Shawl updates first! I'm ALMOST done with it, I finished the decrease. I'm not sure exactly yet my next step will be. I'm in the process right now of just working on other projects, mainly either tinking or fixing them-such as my Sunflower socks, my Whipple Wave blanket.

This week I'm hoping to:
1.) Finish Sophie's Spring Set
-The flower (probably next planning in this one..)
-The Baby Booties

2.) North Carolina Shawl:
-Maybe the trim or completely finishing and binding off.

3.) Socks!!
-My sunflower socks are almost done (well the first one)

a little slow on the first post of the day...

I woke up a little late than wanting to (at eight).. and I really didn't have a chance to blog or even check my facebook.. not even to change my status! But yesterday (yes I did finish my Jellybean socks! and they are posted on Raverly!) Last night I went to my knit night for Neighbors Helping Newborns.. and I helped out sewing some squares together for blankets. (I might be working on it later this week...) I'll also upload photos of the design-it wasn't really a design I created but just a bunch of squares sewen together..

Here's some knitting goals for this week:
1.) Secret Knitting (Let's call it that..)
2.) Sewen together squares for the blankets...
3.) Another pair of socks (Honeysuckle socks)
4.) My Disney Tank top..
5.) Summer Lace Scarf

Happy Knittings!

Juliet Socks are finished!!

I do have a Raverly page!! Yep, they are now up there! I didn't really want to put up the socks from the beginning on my Raverly page until now. As I type this I'm actually wearing them!! They feel sooo good, and soo comfortable I can't believe it. I loved the pattern I did, and I'm excited to cast on the next pair this weekend.

Happy Knitting!

First blog post. of the day... FINISHING!

Good morning!! Yes, I just woke up and I had not knitted yet. I do have very good news-I get to start the toe decreasing soon on my sock!! (I could do it now.. but may do just one more stripe just in case..) I worked so hard on it all day yesterday! Also today I'm finishing up not only my first pair of socks but the baby hat I was working on the other day. (Told you it would be awhile!) It could go on Etsy tomorrow.. (Etsy day).

I'll post a photo of both projects after they're both finished. I love the stages of knitting when it comes to finishing a project like this.

Happy Knittings!

Juliet Socks & Ballerina Baby Hat

Hello again!! I hadn't really blogged in awhile, my boyfriend left yesterday and we didn't get home from Boston until later in the day. But right when I got home I defiantly finished my first sock and started the second sock!! I got really excited about the tube socks I've been working on these past few days. As I write this I'm downloading knitting podcasts such as Knitgirllls (not sure if it's two "l" or three.. but anyways. My first sock turned out really well and I absolutely love the pattern (it's just k2, p2 all the way down to your toes!) It's really truely amazing and one of my favorite patterns. I can go on and on about it, so right away last night I started on the second sock. I'm going to be knitting it while I'm listening to the podcasts I'm currently downloading.

So also as I'm blogging-I'm meditating on creating a new page and naming it "Knitting Traveler." I ALWAYS bring my knitting every where I go. I'm trying to keep a small project going so I won't have any trouble carrying it around. Those projects would either be a sock or a baby hat. For instance I had a doctor appointment in Boston yesterday, and had to drop off my boyfriend at the airport-so I grabbed my baby hat. I was in the condition of doing the toe shaping of my sock yesterday, I just waited until I got home to do that. So instead I just worked on my baby hat (Ballerina hat) and I got that finished... I just need to bind off. More of the details and description will come with a presentation photo after it's on Etsy. (It could be awhile).

Alright I'm going to go and knit my sock!!
Happy Knittings,

Good morning!! & socks!

I would say it's been awhile since I last posted about knitting. But hello again! I actually have few updates about knitting this week, since mainly it's been cleaning this week. I've only worked on two projects which is a second pair of socks and a prayer shawl. The first pair of socks, my "Spring Mist socks" are hibernating when it comes to Raverly terms-or could be frogged. However, I started my second pair of socks and it's going well so far. My first design for my second pair of socks didn't turn out so well.... so I restarted them on Wednesday night. I'm using very thin sock yarn so it'll take me awhile to actually finish the pair (if I get to that point).

Another thing, not sure if I'm going to be posting this week. My boyfriend is coming up to visit me, and I'm excited!!

Happy Knittings,

Back to Blogger?

Hm.. well.. it didn't take me long to come back to blogger, haha. I'm still not sure if I'm going to stick to it though, even though I revealed a lot in Shutterfly. But hey, I may just keep it up with both of them. As you can see I do have a new template but I didn't design it. Here's some few updates I have up on my shutterfly:

1.) Knitted flowers: Yes, I've started knitting flowers this weekend! They're fun and easy.

2.) Purses! I began knitting mini purses this weekend, and also purchased bangles for handles yesterday. I almost got two done. The white knitted flower is an embellishment for one of them.. The purses are SMALL (fair warning..) I will be posting on Etsy soon.

Happy knittings and enjoy the new blog layout!

PS: The above picture is sewing up the seams for the mini purse. "Knitting Flowers" blog post will be coming shortly.

This post is screaming updates! I've been knitting straight two days in a row, with very few breaks. I just love Christmas break!! (We get a whole month off, which is quite a blessing! I defiantly needed a break and to catch up on rest & of course, knitting!) Yesterday I've started on a new set of yellow baby booties, and I finished them today! Hopefully they'll be on Etsy tonight or tomorrow. Down bellow is how the "Baby Shower Gift Set" (This is a special! I think I may doing these once a month, let's see how this set goes!) is coming along! Oh yes, I forgot to mention since I am doing a special set for the first time, there will be posts about it!

Happy Knitting day!

This really has been a full knitting day, better than I actually expected! It started off with knitting "Bowswer" from Super Mario (or something like that), for my brother's blanket. Then I proceeded to begin yellow baby booties (got one yellow baby bootie done today!) I also completed a baby hat, and started a baby headband.

Some knitting items heading your way:
Baby Shower Gift Set
This is a special! It'll include...
1.) A Baby Boy hat,
2.) A baby girl hat,
3.) A baby headband,
4.) Baby booties.

These colors have blue and pink of course!

Yellow Baby booties
-The title says all, yellow baby booties, however it may come with either purple pom poms or blue pom poms. I'm in the early stage of creating the booties, so I'm not exactly sure quite yet of how the booties will turn out.

Heading back to Liberty..

So yesterday marks the last day for me being at home, and I nearly slept half of the day without meaning to, I don't even know why I did. Very soon I'm leaving to go to PA, then back to Liberty tomorrow. More photos will be heading your way!
