What's in my Stash: Plymouth Yarns

I LOVE this yarn, as I love any other yarn-haha. So I decided to start yarn stash review. I think after each review I'll post-I'll put it in my Raverly stash. Back to the Plymouth yarns-there's different kind of variegated yarns (well the Red Jelli Beenz) brand-that's the Raverly link to it. I have both the black and red variegated yarns of the Red Jelli beenz. On Raverly once you look up a yarn, you can search under projects. I love this yarn since to me it's a playful yarn-and hopefully I'll be able to knit socks out of the black varigated yarn.

I actually made a hat (the brim)-one of my first hats for Neighbors Helping Newborns with this yarn.

Honeysuckle Socks

I've been blogging lately on my Honeysuckle Socks and I've mentioned plenty of times starting over. Currently, I'm actually on the heel gusset! I could finish my sock (the first one) either today or this weekend-and could possibly finish the whole pair this upcoming week or weekend.. (we'll see). If I give myself deadlines-I'll stress. However you can find more details here on the Honeysuckle Socks. You do need an account for Raverly..

Sock Knitting..

So yesterday morning I started over my sock once again (this is the third attempt I believe..) and so far it's going much better than before! I'm still trying out the same pattern, and same yarn. Right now I'm just about to start the heel. It's actually a fast pattern to me, and it's also very simple-with easy directions to read. I'm defiantly enjoying this more than the tube socks I've been knitting. More updates to come as I go along!

Happy Knittings,

Finishitis..

Well yesterday I've been working hard on projects I've had on my needles for awhile now to finish them up.

Today's Focus:

1.) Miss. Piggy's Blanket (it has a pig square in the middle..again some of these squares I did not design and I collected-and some of these squares I did knit..)
2.) My Summer Lace Scarf..
3.) Secret Knitting (I am officially binding this off today! It's a gift for someone..)

Neighbors Helping Newborns..

So today was a pretty good knitting day even though I hope to finish up some projects I have set to finish this week. However I could actually finish my scarf if I want to. I worked a little bit sewing up some squares for a baby blanket for Neighbors Helping Newborns. Then I started a new square with bright yellow, orange, purple, pink, green, and blue.. for Neighbors Helping Newborns. I hope to make another blanket out of this. Right now I'm desiring to start my summer tank top for Disney.. however at least I want to finish a project. Sewing up the squares make take awhile (I think I got three done today and got a lot more to do..)

Re-Start on Honeysuckle Socks..

So last night I've finally decided to do a very new pattern I had not tried yet-but I'm still using the same yarn (finger weight). The pattern for this one is very easy to read so I'm very excited in trying this pattern! The socks I'm knitting now are Classic Socks. (Photos will come after the sock shows some progress!) That's all I may be working on besides the secret knitting..

Honeysuckle Socks!

So last night (I couldn't resist) as I blogged earlier today... I've began my not my second-but my THIRD pair of socks!! Socks are now so addicting and I always love a small project-especially to carry around while traveling or on a plane. On Saturday during the yarn trip day-I had worked on my Jellybean socks. I finally got some yarn for socks! So now I'm trying to decide to either do another set of tube socks.. or try that pattern I began with knitting socks (the Spring Mist socks)..

Happy Knittings!
~Anna Elizabeth Designs

a little slow on the first post of the day...

I woke up a little late than wanting to (at eight).. and I really didn't have a chance to blog or even check my facebook.. not even to change my status! But yesterday (yes I did finish my Jellybean socks! and they are posted on Raverly!) Last night I went to my knit night for Neighbors Helping Newborns.. and I helped out sewing some squares together for blankets. (I might be working on it later this week...) I'll also upload photos of the design-it wasn't really a design I created but just a bunch of squares sewen together..

Here's some knitting goals for this week:
1.) Secret Knitting (Let's call it that..)
2.) Sewen together squares for the blankets...
3.) Another pair of socks (Honeysuckle socks)
4.) My Disney Tank top..
5.) Summer Lace Scarf

Jellybean Socks!!

So I just finished my Jellybean Socks before I left for my knit group today! I didn't have enough time to post an entry on blogger-or add the picture to Jellybean socks project tab on Raverly. (I barely had enough time to finish my socks themselves!) I love these socks a lot and I actually made them ankle socks... these are a lot better than my Juliet socks. (I have a feeling the more socks I make-the next one will be better than the last sock I made haha!)

Here are the photos!
1.) The FINAL presentation photo of this project.
2.) The progress photo of the project (this was the first sock..)
3.) Getting nearly close to the finishing point and the toe... exciting!

WEBS!

My title is in capital letters since I went to Webs yesterday! It was so much fun going with my friends down to Webs in Massachusetts. I didn't really get a lot of photos, but got a lot of yarn! When it comes to these kind of stores or shops-I try to get very unique and pretty yarn that either can't be found at Michaels or at Jo-ann's (or else get it at Michaels or Jo-ann's right?) I love deep purples, deep greens.. and sometimes blue. But when it comes to spring I do like springy and summer colors (like the Jellybean socks I'm still knitting). I did get a lot of yarn for socks and I also got yarn for a summer top I want to knit for Disney World this summer. (yep I'm going to Disney!) We left about 8am yesterday and didn't get back until 10pm! It was a long day, tiring-but also a fun day all together! I was falling asleep in the car yesterday on the way home, and went straight to bed.

Anyways,
happy knitting!

Happy Saturday Yarn Shopping!

Saturday seems to be my favorite day of the week! It's just more of a relaxing day for me. So today is one of my favorite days just because I'm traveling 2 hours (or 2 1/2 hours) just to get yarn, I'm so stoked! Plus I think I'm going to one of the largest yarn stores in the world (I could be wrong.. on that one), but I can't contain my excitement! We're about to leave in a few minutes, but that's just a quick blog. I'll blog more when I get home.

Here's how I prepared for today for yarn shopping:
1.) Wrote down things I might desire to knit: like for baby hats, baby booties, cotton yarn.. (that's soft), socks and such..
2.) Printed out patterns I want to knit later in the future.
3.) I might be searching whatever yarn that grabs my attention and screams a new project..
4.) Gifts for family and friends
There was a fifth one but I forgot it already haha..

anyways gota get going!

Jellybean Socks Sneakpeak

So I just finished the first sock of the Jellybean socks, here are the first few photos. The final photo will probably be coming to you tomorrow or Monday. I tried on the first sock, and honestly I think I'm going to love this pair better than the last ones!! Yes!! More updates are to come after the yarn road trip!

Jellybean Socks

So I dived into my yarn stash right away yesterday to start on my second pair of socks. This pattern I'm doing is so addictive! I found this colorful light blue, pink, yellow, purple colorway. I was hesitant at first (not sure why) since I'm saving other projects I want to start for tomorrow. I absolute love it, and I could if I really wanted to get this pair done by Sunday or at least earlier this week. I'm almost done with the first sock of this pair. Whoohoo!!

Happy Knitting
~Anna Elizabeth Designs

Yarn Shopping!!

I've been looking forward to this all week! I defiantly need more yarn, and defiantly on the search for sock yarn. Like I blogged yesterday, I finished my first pair of socks! (Another blog post is coming your way after this one..) A couple of friends of mine and my Mom are heading to Massachusetts tomorrow morning (early!) I don't know if I'll be able to blog in the morning (depends how early I get up..) We're driving 2 1/2 to this place but it's so worth it!! Right now (or I'm about to..) is to start looking up patterns and printing them to take with me tomorrow. I already wrote down what I want to have so I can go in prepared for yarn.

Here's what's from my list:
1.) Sock yarn
2.) Baby booties
3.) Cotton for baby summer hats (they're certain cotton I'm searching for..)

Juliet Socks are finished!!

I do have a Raverly page!! Yep, they are now up there! I didn't really want to put up the socks from the beginning on my Raverly page until now. As I type this I'm actually wearing them!! They feel sooo good, and soo comfortable I can't believe it. I loved the pattern I did, and I'm excited to cast on the next pair this weekend.

Happy Knitting!

First blog post. of the day... FINISHING!

Good morning!! Yes, I just woke up and I had not knitted yet. I do have very good news-I get to start the toe decreasing soon on my sock!! (I could do it now.. but may do just one more stripe just in case..) I worked so hard on it all day yesterday! Also today I'm finishing up not only my first pair of socks but the baby hat I was working on the other day. (Told you it would be awhile!) It could go on Etsy tomorrow.. (Etsy day).

I'll post a photo of both projects after they're both finished. I love the stages of knitting when it comes to finishing a project like this.

Juliet Socks & Ballerina Baby Hat

Hello again!! I hadn't really blogged in awhile, my boyfriend left yesterday and we didn't get home from Boston until later in the day. But right when I got home I defiantly finished my first sock and started the second sock!! I got really excited about the tube socks I've been working on these past few days. As I write this I'm downloading knitting podcasts such as Knitgirllls (not sure if it's two "l" or three.. but anyways. My first sock turned out really well and I absolutely love the pattern (it's just k2, p2 all the way down to your toes!) It's really truely amazing and one of my favorite patterns. I can go on and on about it, so right away last night I started on the second sock. I'm going to be knitting it while I'm listening to the podcasts I'm currently downloading.

So also as I'm blogging-I'm meditating on creating a new page and naming it "Knitting Traveler." I ALWAYS bring my knitting every where I go. I'm trying to keep a small project going so I won't have any trouble carrying it around. Those projects would either be a sock or a baby hat. For instance I had a doctor appointment in Boston yesterday, and had to drop off my boyfriend at the airport-so I grabbed my baby hat. I was in the condition of doing the toe shaping of my sock yesterday, I just waited until I got home to do that. So instead I just worked on my baby hat (Ballerina hat) and I got that finished... I just need to bind off. More of the details and description will come with a presentation photo after it's on Etsy. (It could be awhile).

Alright I'm going to go and knit my sock!!
Happy Knittings,

Sharing a little Sunshine

Yes, that is my skirt, haha! I was so happy to finally able to wear skirts.. and I got a little dressed up to be picking up my boyfriend on Friday.

Besides knitting, I love doing photography. To me-photography and knitting are like art (well it is art). We've had two nice sunny days in a row that brought us playing outside in our flip flops, tossing a football around (my family and boyfriend), blowing bubbles-things that we would normally do on a beach day. However just these past two days we also enjoyed having the windows open and feel that fresh breath of air. I just decided to share a little sunshine smiles with you : ). It's rare at the beginning of spring like this to have great weather!! Last summer we went to the beach and soaked up the sun while we were knitting. Yes, I said knitting on the beach! Talk about relaxing!! I'm excited it's finally getting that time of seasons.

Here's the bit of sunshine!

Good morning!! & socks!

I would say it's been awhile since I last posted about knitting. But hello again! I actually have few updates about knitting this week, since mainly it's been cleaning this week. I've only worked on two projects which is a second pair of socks and a prayer shawl. The first pair of socks, my "Spring Mist socks" are hibernating when it comes to Raverly terms-or could be frogged. However, I started my second pair of socks and it's going well so far. My first design for my second pair of socks didn't turn out so well.... so I restarted them on Wednesday night. I'm using very thin sock yarn so it'll take me awhile to actually finish the pair (if I get to that point).

Another thing, not sure if I'm going to be posting this week. My boyfriend is coming up to visit me, and I'm excited!!

Happy Knittings,

So today, I feel like I barely knitted since I cleaned and organized yarn. Here's the photos from today's yarn organizing!! The plastic boxes slide under my bed.

Good morning Blogger!

I'm still waking up! (Even though I woke up 39 minutes ago... and already had breakfast...) So last night I had a bit of sock excitement, and I realized I'm so close to being done, and I'm about to finish my sock decrease. (I forgotten about that part...). I'm still learning how to knit socks-but around 9pm last night I was so itching to start my second pair, but I realized it's just best to start the project the next morning, and not late at night. (I would get frustrated). Photos will most likely come later on today after both socks are finished (the first pair).

Sorry it's not much for this morning, but it's where I am with the socks.

Cleaning b4 knitting

I FINISHED MY FIRST PAIR OF KNITTED SITES! I said it! First pair of socks! After I'm done skyping with the boyfriend, I'm binding off my second sock. Whoohoo!! I've been working all day on the second sock on the toe part (after I got done cleaning of course!) I made sure I started cleaning before knitting, or else I'd just knit and not clean. Photos coming soon!!

Happy Knittings,

"Bella Sparkles" Baby Hat on Etsy!

So there is a new hat on Etsy!! "Bella Sparkles" baby hat is knitted in purple acrylic yarn, with a tint of sparkles. (Yes I named it after Twilight!) The link is under the "Etsy Updates" as well there's a photo in this post, and a link as well. It measures 6" to 8" and it could fit a preemie.

The price is $10.00.

Two new pages and finished room cleaning!

So I just finished room cleaning! It only took me about an hour, I got up early this morning so I could start and finish my room by lunch time. That way I can still have my knitting morning (what's left of it) and my knitting afternoon. I haven't even started my sock yet, I just sat down from cleaning.

There are now two new pages for Anna Elizabeth Designs' Blog. You'll find in the tabs:
"Etsy Updates" (my blog posts about what is on Etsy, and what is coming up next..)
"Sock Knitting" (as explained on the page, I am now starting to knit socks!!)

Week of March 14 knittings..

Okay, so it's a new Monday!! And now I'm just waking up, and so I'm slow at typing. But this is the first blog entry of the day. I hope you like the new look of the new layout and template, and so I'm thinking it'll stay that way (or hoping) from now on (let's see how long this layout will last!) So in this blog entry will be my 'Week of March 14 Knittings.'

Things I'm knitting (What's on my needles):
1.) MY SOCK!!!! Yes, the word 'sock' is in CAPS and four exclamation points. Not only I started my sock, but I started the second sock to my first one. I could get the sock done later on today, and it's a little less stressful this time (knock on wood..). I started it yesterday while I was skyping, and somehow it all pulled together. I messed up my other sock (same one, but different one..) with a dropped stitch, and the pattern-well didn't look like a pattern.

2.) Whipple Wave Blanket: So sadly... I dropped a stitch somehow in this one. I might be able to go back and save it. We'll see how much energy I'll have to tink back some rows (there's quite a few).

3.) Daisy Mini Purse: Yes, it is mini! I got one handle on it yesterday, and maybe later on today it'll be finished. It might be on Etsy later on this week.

Getting over the Second Sock Syndrome...

So as knitters for those who don't like knitting socks... I'm actually now going to try and attempt my second sock. I don't even know how this feeling came across of really desiring to start over my sock. I need to get used to knitting socks even though they are challenging. So I'm unraveling my second sock as I type this. I had messed up the pattern (knit 3, purl 1) for the cuff, and dropped a stitch. Hopefully my second attempt will be successful..

Happy Knittings,
~Anna Elizabeth Designs

Bangles for Handles

So I got one handle done for the mini blue purse!! I haven't come up with the official name yet for the blue purse-but I got one handle done yipee!!! I'm using bangles for the handles-it's a really cute look. The finishing purse photo will be coming either tonight or later this week! Stay tuned!

Happy Knittings

Knitting Flowers...

1.) The finished flower..
2.) One of the petals..
3.) Casting on one of the petals..

So yesterday I finished my first knitted flower for my mini purse! Enjoy : )

Back to Blogger?

Hm.. well.. it didn't take me long to come back to blogger, haha. I'm still not sure if I'm going to stick to it though, even though I revealed a lot in Shutterfly. But hey, I may just keep it up with both of them. As you can see I do have a new template but I didn't design it. Here's some few updates I have up on my shutterfly:

1.) Knitted flowers: Yes, I've started knitting flowers this weekend! They're fun and easy.

2.) Purses! I began knitting mini purses this weekend, and also purchased bangles for handles yesterday. I almost got two done. The white knitted flower is an embellishment for one of them.. The purses are SMALL (fair warning..) I will be posting on Etsy soon.

Happy knittings and enjoy the new blog layout!

PS: The above picture is sewing up the seams for the mini purse. "Knitting Flowers" blog post will be coming shortly.

Knitted Necklace or Wrap..

So right before I left to visit my boyfriend in NC, I learned a new technique with the "I-Cord." I'm still trying to decide if I should have as a necklace, or wrap it around my neck a couple of times. Also, since the I-Cord stitch is a very simple stitch, and to me it's relaxing and fun. I am considering to sell the necklaces on Etsy! I just started this one today! Photos will be coming after I work on it for a bit.

Baby Booties Second Attempt

So I'm on the search once again on trying to get the Baby booties right! This time... I'm trying out a different size needles. Last time I tried size three... so I'm either aiming for size 1 or size 0 needles. Size three needles with this pattern would fit a three year old! Not only I'm trying a different size needle, but also yarn.. and with this yarn it'll be a trial run as well-to see if I have enough yarn with this set.. I'm not sure if I'll have the official set ready by the end of this weekend (on Sunday) or not..

Baby Bootie Bind Off

Well yesterday I've been working on a new pattern for a baby bootie I found on Raverly.. however I binded it off today, and it's a little big. The pattern was really simple and easier than the first pattern I've tried (The Mary Jane's...). It's one of those I'm just going to leave it alone for awhile.. and see if I should make a new set-with a new yarn and everything, or keep the original plan I have. I'll post all the information if there's going to be a new set coming your way and on Etsy.

Whipple Waves Blanket Photo

Yes, I've been working on the blanket since Saturday when I'm assuming I started the project. I finally figured out the name of my blanket, "Whipple Waves Blanket." By the way-here's an interesting fact about the photo: it shows you the way and where I normally knit haha... sometimes it's either on my bed watching TV, or it's at my desk. However I was knitting at my desk at the time. Hope you enjoy seeing the progress of my blanket, and right now I'm almost done with the first pink strip... then it's back to white, and then to green.. I wouldn't say I'm halfway done (no way!) but the blanket is growing haha.. slowly..

Ripple Waves Blanket

Yesterday, I was itching to cast on a new project-since my socks were not really working out for me. But I did a search on Raverly like I always do (I'm surprised I had not checked it today yet!) and found a blanket that I loved! So I was very excited, I only had a few projects going but not enough for a long term project. I love long term projects such as blankets, or socks (well for me they are). But since I finished my Fairytale blanket, I was just itching to cast on another project.. so I spent all day yesterday knitting on my Ripple Waves Blanket.. however I may choose another name for it, but not sure quite yet.

Catching up with blogging..

Yes, I hadn't blogged a lot this week, so I am catching up with blogging this morning. As I mentioned in my last post-I finished a lot of projects I've been working on for months. So now basically I'm somewhat project free (a knitter's dream). Yes I've finished the Fairytale blanket, and photos will be posted soon-it depends if I add extra sides and something else to it. For right now I'm just leaving it alone and saying it's completed. So for this week...

What's on my needles:
1.) Summer Lace Capelet
I'm still working on this, and started it a few days ago. It's coming really well, and I've modified the pattern a bit. However, sad to say-that I ran out of yarn from China Town. But luckily we're going on a Yarn Crawl this upcoming Saturday (March 11th). I'm excited!!

2.) Summer Tank Top??
I'm not sure but I'm thinking about starting a summer tank top. I hadn't really started it quite yet.. but only one row, and may have to start over-or I might just wait until this Saturday at the Yarn Crawl to get more yarn and inspiration.

3.) Summer Scarf
This project is going well, and is mid-way to almost done. : ).

Ah yes I'm finally working on summer projects... or well spring projects!!

Finishing Projects Week!

Hello again and good morning!! Yes, it has been finishing projects week!! I've finished the following down below..

1.) Mrs. Cox's scarf (photos coming later)
2.) Fairytale blanket (yes I finally finished it!)
3.) My very first sock-not my first pair, but only just one sock haha.. I have second sock syndrome so far.

I feel like I've finished a lot of projects I've been working on... I think there's something else but I can't quite think about what it is, it's just one of those mornings. (I'm just waking up... and blogging ha!)

What is on my needles is coming to you in a second blog post this morning.
Happy Knitting!

Summer Lace Capelet

So yesterday I went on another yarn trip (well not really a yarn trip)-but I went to Jo-Ann's to buy size nine needles to work on a Summer Lace Capelet. My mom found the lace capelet on Raverly, and I just got new yarn in Boston while I was visiting China Town. Since I was itching to knit on the new yarn, the Summer Lace Capelet was perfect! I'm excited that I casted on last night, and now I'm knitting it! I love scarfs, but sadly-scarf season is almost over. I'm using Coral yarn for this, and it's giving an interesting look. A photo will be coming later.

Spring Cleaning, Spring Knitting!

Okay, so it's a new month and I'm really excited about it! It's almost spring time! Last night I got a head start on spring cleaning my room, and hopefully to finish it after lunch. (I reserve mornings for knitting!) So right now I'm hoping to do some spring knitting-well working on my sock. This week I'm hoping to get some spring hats done (by using cotton, not acrylic).

Happy knitting!
